Its main hospital is at Perdriel 74 in Barracas, and its roots go back to the British community's founding of the institution in 1844. Today it is a private Argentine hospital serving the wider public. British nationality brings no NHS entitlement there: treatment is paid for through an eligible Argentine plan, an international insurer that accepts the claim, or directly by the patient.
